Pinnacle Studio Ultimate, presently in its 26th edition, is a video editing tool that has progressively gotten faster and more capable with each iteration. Pinnacle is geared for near-professional enthusiasts, with outstanding editing capabilities and effects including stop-motion video, multicam editing, and motion tracking. Alludo (previously Corel, which still uses Corel in several brand names) also manufactures the consumer-grade VideoStudio. Fortunately, Pinnacle lacks the steep learning curve associated with professional video editing software; yet, in terms of performance and usability, it falls below our Editors’ Choice winners, CyberLink PowerDirector and Corel VideoStudio.
